An extensive collection of U.S. government-sponsored research of more than 3 million publications with data covering topics ranging from aerodynamics to urban development and spanning the years from World War 2 to the present. In recent years the focus has shifted to data and all its uses.

Public Affairs Index covers global contemporary public policy issues ranging from public health, the environment, housing, human and civil rights, international conflict and natural disasters.
